122 Series Corners

Available in electrogalvanized steel or primed aluminum (smooth or wood grain textured) as standard materials. Constructed with a right angle flange, these corners come with nail holes on the lip for bottom nailing, making these corners easier to replace if damaged. 140 Series Joint Covers

1401.jpg (14577 bytes)140 Series Joint Covers are intended for use with hardboard siding. The Joint Covers protect the butt joint where two siding planks meet and a 1/4" expansion joint helps to prevent siding buckling. A wraparound lower lip hooks the siding and requires one nail to hold it in place. These covers are primed on the outside for easy painting and coated on the inside with a chromate backer to inhibit corrosion. They are manufactured with a smooth or wood grained texture. They are available in lengths and return lip widths to fit all major brands of hardboard siding, including most profiled 12 and 16 inch shapes.

The corners come in a wide variety of lengths and return sizes to fit most available hardboard or cement fiber plank siding, including many of the profiled 12" and 16" shapes. Face width per side at the bottom 1-3/4", tapering to 1-1/4" at the top.

INSTALLATION

Aligning Clips

Aligning clips are designed for use with all makes of 5/16" cement fiber and hardboard siding that require a 1-1/4" overlap. The clips can significantly reduce installation time, and effectively reduce the number of workers required to install the siding, resulting in overall job cost savings. Each clip gauges the 1-1/4" set, while providing a shelf for the next lap to rest on while nailing. Aligning Clips are manufactured using G-90 galvanized steel, prime coated for easy painting. Once installed and painted, the small portion of the clip that is left exposed is virtually invisible. No part of the clip covers the exposed face of the siding.

INSTALLATION

Off Stud Joiners

The Off Stud Joiners is manufactured specifically for fiber cement siding. The 1-1/4" overlap saves additional installation time and by not joining directly over the stud you can eliminate corner breakout. Off Stud Joiners are manufactured using 24 gauge, G-90 galvanized steel, preprimed for easy painting. The joiners creates a solid backing behind the joint producing a better caulk line and holds the bottom edge in line to provide a seamless appearing joint.
