140 Series

140 Series Joint Covers are intended for use with hardboard and cement siding. The Joint Covers protect the butt joint where two siding planks meet and provide an expansion joint to help prevent siding buckling. A wraparound lower lip hooks the siding and requires one nail to hold it in place. They are manufactured with either a smooth or wood grained texture and are available in lengths and return lip widths to fit all major brands of hardboard and cement fiber siding.

140 Series Prefinished

140 Series Prefinished Joint Covers are stocked in most of the James Hardie Statement Collection® colors. They are intended for use with hardboard and cement siding. The Joint Covers protect the butt joint where two siding planks meet and provide an expansion joint to help prevent siding buckling. They are manufactured with either a smooth or wood grained texture and are available in lengths and return lip widths to fit all major brands of hardboard and cement fiber siding.

141 Series

The 141 Series Rolled Edge Retrofit Joint Covers are manufactured with a rolled edge for extra sturdiness, while holding the same face width as a regular joint cover. Retrofit Joint Covers are manufactured for application after siding installation has been completed and the seams open up, or the siding was installed with too large of a gap at the seam to be covered by the regular joint covers. Retrofit joint covers do not have the rib on the back, so they are more flexible and will need fastening to keep the part in place. These joint covers are wider than the regular parts. Retrofit joint covers are stocked in a limited range of sizes and styles (see chart below), but can be produced in a wide variety of styles, widths, finishes, and lengths.

142 Series

The 142 Flat Edge Retrofit Joint Covers are manufactured with flat edges that allow for a little more coverage for the gaps and are wider (1”) for increased coverage. Retrofit Joint Covers are manufactured for application after siding installation has been completed and the seams open up, or the siding was installed with too large of a gap at the seam to be covered by the regular joint covers. Retrofit joint covers do not have the rib on the back, so they are more flexible and will need fastening to keep the part in place. These joint covers are wider than the regular parts. Retrofit joint covers are stocked in a limited range of sizes and styles (see chart below), but can be produced in a wide variety of styles, widths, finishes, and lengths.

JF Series

The Simplicity Tool Junction Flashing is manufactured for all types of siding as a weather resistant barrier at the butt joint seam. This precut Junction Flashing allows for fast and easy installation and the ¼” Slip Fit Positioning Lip insures quick and accurate placement every time. Manufactured from 0.016” primed aluminum, we offer a choice of either brown or white. Simplicity Tool Junction Flashing is a full 6” wide to provide the 3” coverage on each side of the butt joint seam called for by popular siding manufacturer’s best practices. Sizes are precut and come 50 pieces per box for fast and easy installation.

JF Series Prefinished
